About the Villa
The house is 180m2 and was built in 1830 on a plot of 800m2. At that time it was the first house constructed in the village of Korakiés, the area of Akrotíri, the prefecture Chania, and it is still owned and run by the same family.
The house had been occupied by the Germans during the Second World War till 1946. It was in this house that the current owners of Villa Merope were brought up.
The house was completely renovated a few years ago. It now consists of two living rooms, a kitchen and a kitchenette, and four bathrooms.
It also features five bedrooms, three of which are double and two are single. The villa can accommodate eight people.
Description
Villa Merope is surrounded by a court yard and two beautiful gardens, to the north and the south. The villa features a swimming pool (30m2) and a BBQ located in the north garden, both nestled among big pine trees and a lush lawn.
The south garden is equally lush with a lawn, trees and a small goldfish pond creating a pleasant and tranquil ambience.
The house is fully equipped with all electric devices and other facilities that will guarantee a comfortable stay.
A house keeper takes care of the villa twice a week.
The gardens are being maintained early in the mornings, while our swimming pool technician ensures the hygiene and maintenance of the villas swimming pool twice a week.

The village Korakiés is situated 7.5km from the town of Chania, 10km from the airport and 12km from Souda Bay.
Very close to Korakiés you will find Venizélos Graves, the burial place of these great politicians, which offers a panoramic view of the city of Haniá.
Our Villa is the ideal starting point for an exploration to the the surrounding monasteries of Gouvernéto and Agía Triáda and a number of magnificent beaches.
